A Precast Flue is built with concrete or clay blocks, often terminating with a raised ridge tile on the roof. These flues are usually very shallow and are only suitable for slimline fires. (You may be able to have a deeper fire by using a spacer frame or a deep rebate fire surround)

 

A Pre-fabricated flue is a metal tube system identified by a metal flue pipe through the roof and a metal flue box behind the fire. These flues may be able to take deeper fire.
